encouraging playwrights and actors. It consists of:

Encore
Drama is launching this year’s Ronald Duncan Annual Playwriting
Competition, supported through a generous grant from the Ronald
Duncan Literary Foundation. This builds on the success of last year’s
competition won by Lucy Bell with Jo’s War.

The Prize
The winning play will be performed by Encore Theatre and will be
financially underwritten to the maximum of £1,250. Performances will be
in three studio theatres for two nights each.
Eligibility
The competition is open to new playwrights. For the purpose of
the competition a new playwright will be someone who has had no more
than one full length play professionally performed.
How To Apply
Applicants will have to meet the eligibility criteria above. They should
then apply through submitting a treatment and three pages of script to
the address on the information sheet.
